I enjoy helping people especially those in need of a service that will improve their life and have positive outcomes for them In the past I helped a friend with cancer. Her family did not live here so she depended on her friends in particular me to help her out, going to the hospital with her and being just there for support and assurance attending her at visits in hospital and after hospital helping with cleaning and other chores like shopping and preparing meals in her home or at my home and taking them over She appreciated it so much and said it contributed to her getting better. I have empathy and understanding and overall I am a caring person who like helping people just like last week when a blind person was having problems getting to the toilet at the station I guided her there so I am always available to help people when I see that they need it Tell us how you will share one of your skills or hobbies to help someone in our community. I enjoy cooking and have worked in hospitality for years I would like to help somebody have some enjoyable meals in their home or I would bring them to a restaurant and be their companion should they wish to go. I would bring the person shopping if they were able to come with me and we could go and look at the items we have to buy having prepared a list. while out shopping we could make it a social occasion and have a coffee/tea and have a break as it is important to pace and not over do with exertion especially if the person has tolerances then we could prepared the food and cook it together and if the person is able to do it themselves I could leave the menu and cooking method or I could make a batch for them and put it in the freezer so they can access a meal very easily another day when I am not there What is a quote that inspires you? we do not see the world the way it is rather we see it the way we are I have completed a COVID training manual successfully recently and I have also received The FLU Vaccination a few days ago for the coming winter period 2021 and I also have received one Jab of the Astra Zeneca Vaccine.
