About

I wanted to become a Social Carer because I genuinely enjoy supporting people and making a positive difference in their daily lives. Through my experience working as an Assistant in Nursing in an aged care facility, I developed a strong appreciation for the importance of companionship, dignity, and emotional support, not just physical care. I have seen how small acts—such as listening, engaging in conversation, or assisting with daily routines—can significantly improve someone’s wellbeing and sense of independence. I believe I will be good at this role because I am patient, compassionate, and reliable. I am comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds and needs, and I always approach my work with empathy and respect. I understand the importance of building trust and maintaining a safe, supportive environment, and I take pride in being attentive and responsive to the individuals I care for. Some of my hobbies include spending time outdoors, going for walks, listening to music, and engaging in creative activities such as simple arts and crafts. I also enjoy meaningful conversations and learning about different cultures and life experiences, which helps me connect easily with people of all ages. My key skills include strong communication, attention to detail, time management, and the ability to follow care plans and routines effectively. I am calm under pressure, observant, and proactive in identifying when someone may need extra support or reassurance. I also value teamwork and collaboration while being confident working independently when required. I have a strong professional background in aged care and healthcare environments, where I have worked in regulated settings that require responsibility, confidentiality, and consistency. My experience has helped me develop a high standard of care, excellent hygiene practices, and a respectful approach to personal support. I am a dependable, caring, and positive person who takes pride in creating a comfortable and supportive atmosphere for those I care for. I am always willing to learn, adapt, and go the extra mile to ensure the people I support feel valued, safe, and respected.
