About

My work for the past over 20 years has involved working with children and teenagers, including those with disabilities. I have enjoyed planning activities and outings to expand on their social and life experiences. It has given me great joy to see how these experiences have helped them achieve goals. I have a passion for assisting people to live a life filled with new and exciting experiences as well as facilitating opportunities inline with their interests. I have grown very close to the people I have cared for and class them as a part of my family. When life has gotten hard or presented them with challenges, I know they have always, and continue to, feel they could turn to me for love and support. One of my favourite things I enjoy to do and share is cooking. There is something special about cooking together. I love involving people in the process of cooking. From checking the recipe for ingredients that are needed, to shopping for the products and produce that we need, to coming home to prepare and cook. I would love to be able to continue to share my skills and inspire others in my work as a Social Carer.
