About

Hi my name is Andrew. A little essay about me. I’m new to the industry although I’ve been helping people half of my life with carpet cleaning, handyman work plus some cleaning of windows. I had my own business for 5 years and it was terrific at the time. Very hard work but rewarding at the end of the day. Working within some factories, delivery work and the like was very hard physically work for me. In customer care I would get asked where an item would be, I wouldn’t know exactly where something might be but I would make sure to get another team worker to look after the customers needs, that part was rewarding. A little bit of listening and a little bit of help can go a long long way. There is nothing worse than sharing something personal with someone and looking over and they are back on their phone already or looking out the window. I’ve had this happen to me. I used to stutter really badly up until I was about 13 years old. It was awful because I wasn’t supported and I was teased a lot when I was young, it can still crop up from time to time in a small way although I know how to handle it these days, so I spent a lot of years with people not listening to me or because I was to afraid to talk fearful of stuttering and feeling bad that I couldn’t talk or couldn’t be heard so I do know what that’s like. So I have always gravitated towards people who needed help. I like to let them know others do care and there’s nothing wrong with who you are at this present moment. This is the reasons I originally completed my cert 3 and 4 in community services. I didn’t really know what area back then I wanted to do, it was very limited and honestly I did make a lot more money Carpet cleaning, I had a mortgage and it just took over at that time. Opportunities in disability work etc was quite sparse and the money could be poor so it’s just fantastic that the NDIS has been created and now I can be a part of that, make a big difference in peoples lives I hope and really enjoy the work I’m doing for probably the first time in my life. I’m extremely excited about the job and can’t wait to meet you and help you with whatever it is you want to do, work on or just have fun. Thanks for taking the time reading my story. I have often been asked for directions and gladly help out I like being a helpful person in the community. I’m great with getting to places and rarely if ever get lost. For years I never had a GPS or Google Maps I had to use a UBD and my own knowledge and experience to find addresses. Because of this I know Adelaide extremely well and I have an excellent memory as not to get lost. Picture perfect I’ve been told. I enjoy playing golf with others. The movies. Bush walks. Bike riding. Racing video games. Shopping at shopping centres. Having coffee in a cafe or park. Getting dressed up for dinner. The botanical gardens is one of my favourite places, so much history and world variety of plants and trees there. The beach when its hot and perhaps a Lemon lime and bitters. I’ve also been travelling to a few nice places as well. I guess I just enjoy getting out and about, and with company it’s so much more fun. I love animals and own 2 beautiful cats. So give me a ring, or contact Like Family. I’d love to help you get the most out of your life. Thanks for reading my profile. Andrew Lower
