I have always found genuine pride and joy in improving people’s day even with small gestures - smiling to strangers, serving them a good cup of coffee, engaging in conversations with customers and learning more about their lives. Seeing my sister thrive in her position as a support worker has inspired me to follow a similar path, and I believe I could find fulfillment in this line of work as well. To treat people with kindness is one of my strongest values, and I am aware that many individuals simply need a friend to talk to or just be in one's physical presence. I understand that support work is not for everyone and can be incredibly challenging, but I believe I am prepared to take on that role and if I can help just one person feel better with their day, then that is a job worth doing for me. I have a deep passion for writing and reading as my imagination allows me to enter those worlds and essentially live multiple lives. I also spend a lot of my time at the beach or in nature, and I love being under the sun. Playing the guitar is also another hobby of mine, sometimes joining in with my sister and singing little songs. I have 2 sisters working within the mental health industry, and we all actually wanted to be psychologists when we were younger! We're not too sure how we all ended up so invested in this industry but it's something we connect with.
