About
I wanted to become a social carer because I find myself drawn toward the elderly and get on well with people older than myself who are more like my own parents. I regularly visit my friend’s parents who live by themselves or in aged care just to spend quality time with them. After many years of working in administration I would like to dedicate myself to spending more time with the elderly who need a friend. I am passionate about helping people in what ever way I can. I love listening to people tell me their stories, taking them out for a movie or a drive, listening to music, cooking, drawing, and some gardening. I spent many years working in a bank where I was supporting and processing files of deceased clients. I was fortunate to speak to elderly clients that poured out all about them selves as they had no one else to speak to. These grateful clients used to make me so happy. I found this part of my role very fulfilling.
