I was motivated to become a Social Carer because I want to support people who may be facing challenges and help them access the services and guidance they need. Completing my Diploma of Community Services and gaining practical experience through placements has strengthened my understanding of supporting people respectfully, following procedures, and maintaining professional boundaries. I believe I will be good at this role because I am patient, empathetic, and adaptable. I have strong communication skills and experience working with people from diverse backgrounds. I am confident following structured processes, collaborating effectively with a team, and responding to different needs in a calm and professional way. I am passionate about connecting with people and learning about their experiences, both inside and outside of work. I enjoy listening, understanding individual perspectives, and supporting people in practical ways when possible. My key skills include strong communication and interpersonal abilities. I am curious about people’s stories, needs, and challenges, and I take satisfaction in helping them navigate situations or access support. I am also adaptable, empathetic, and able to work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds. In my free time, I enjoy consuming music and art, attending concerts and exhibitions, and exploring creative expressions. These hobbies allow me to connect with culture, reflect, and continue learning about the human experience.
